GRAND OCEAN - Yacht Charters Global

GRAND OCEAN (Ex Grand Odyssey II) is a Blohm & Voss build with a launch in 1990 and refit in 2017. Measuring 80m (263,1ft), she offers accommodation in 7 cabins for 12 charter guests. Exterior design is by Platou Architects, while her interior work is by Alberto Pinto.

She was constructed as an expedition-style yacht with comfort as one of the main requirements. With great interest in diving and amateur oceanography, the Owner asked the shipyard to install a large live coral aquarium expanding over two decks and placed below a glass-bottomed swimming pool. She is known for her opulent interior design and fantastic amenities on board, featuring nautical style with traditional and timeless elements combined with dark wood, bespoke furniture and marble bathrooms. She was designed by Platou Architects with spacious interior areas and decor by Alberto Pinto of Italy. Carved mahogany woods, contrasted with elegant white tones and silk carpeting area used throughout, providing those on board with the sense of opulence and comfort at the same time.

One of the most impressive features aboard is the massive mosaic-tiled swimming pool which also links to the aquarium in the saloon situated below. The swimming pool can be transformed into a dance floor. The top deck provides plenty of lounging and sunbathing possibilities and has a popular Jacuzzi, sun pads, a gas barbecue with a hot plate, as well as a shower. From here the owner’s observation lounge can be reached through large glazed doors.

The yachts lavish interior décor is elegant and sophisticated. The main deck features the formal dining room situated aft and full beam of the yacht, seating all guests with ease, perfect for hosting spectacular venues. Forward, a foyer leads to the yachts accommodation, comprising 1 master cabin with king size bed, 1 VIP cabin with king size bed, 1 double cabin with a double bed and 4 twin cabins with single beds. A further opulent space has a large dressing room, complete with glass walk in wardrobes and generous dressing area.

Her upper deck is ideal for socializing, offering a lounge aft with games table, dining table and ample plush seating and full entertainment systems. Forward on the upper deck is a sky lounge, boasting a piano, plenty of comfortable seating, tables, full audio and visual entertainment and bespoke inlaid flooring. GRAND OCEAN’S top deck is well-appointed with a fully equipped fitness gym aft, sauna, hair salon and stunning views from full height windows. A foyer leads to a forward-facing lounge and games area, with access out onto a full beam upper foredeck, sun pads and jacuzzi. The interior guest areas each receive plenty of natural light from panoramic windows, as well as enjoying stunning views.

ACCOMMODATION

Grand Ocean’s interior layout sleeps up to 12 guests in 7 rooms, including a master suite, 2 double cabins and 4 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 22 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience. Timeless styling, beautiful furnishings and sumptuous seating feature throughout to create an elegant and comfortable atmosphere.

PERFORMANCE

She is built with Steel hull and Steel/Aluminium superstructure. With a cruising speed of 16 knots, a maximum speed of 18 knots and a range of 9,200nm from her 220,000litre fuel tanks, she is the perfect combination of performance and luxury.
